White Domaine d’Estoublon 75cl • 2021

A wine with a brilliant golden color. The nose reveals notes of acacia flowers, candied pineapple, papaya and crème brûlée. The palate is full with beautiful bitters, it offers aromas of toasted brioche and dry apricot.

Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussane.

Deep soils, clay-limestone.

Vinification in stainless steel and concrete vats, 100% de-stemming. Ageing 7 months in barrels (400l), ovoid vats and concrete tanks.

13.5% Vol.

The spring of 2021 brought us some unpredictable frosts, which inflicted some damage in most of the French wine regions. Fortunately, the Estoublon vineyards were largely unaffected. In May, frequent rain made the vine more vulnerable to disease but some finer weather in the spring led to a successful flowering without coulure (failure of the fruit to set) )or millerandage (shot berries). The summer of 2021 was ideal for the vegetative development of the vines while preserving the freshness of the grape berries. The harvest commenced on 25 August and lasted for a month. It took place in bright sunshine, allowing the grapes to ripen gently and smoothly. The wines from this vintage show freshness, balance and elegance.

Drink now or lay down for 7 to 8 years.
